Ramping Up for Back to School
The sun continues to shine and summer is in full swing; and the office staff of Lane School is busily preparing for the start of the 2026-2027 school year.
Lane School welcomes some new faces to the team.
We are excited to welcome two outstanding leaders to the Lane School administrative team for the upcoming school year. Jamie Melenzio joins Lane ESD as the Program Administrator for Westmoreland and Lane School’s new Principal, bringing a wealth of experience from Portland Public Schools, where she most recently served as an Assistant Director of Special Education. Jamie’s leadership and commitment to student-centered practices will be a tremendous asset to our school community.
We are also thrilled to congratulate Anna Shea on her new role as Assistant Principal. A longtime educator and consultant at Lane School, Anna has built strong relationships with students, families, and staff throughout her years of service. Her transition into school leadership reflects her deep dedication to our community and her passion for supporting students and colleagues alike.
Together, Jamie and Anna are excited to partner with staff as we continue to enhance student-centered programming, introduce an updated Lane School logo, and strengthen the relationships that make our school community so special. We look forward to an exciting year ahead and the opportunities their leadership will bring!
