The McKenzie Wildfire has had significant impacts on our staff, students, and families. This emergency affects us all as we care for, worry for, and work to support our families, friends, and neighbors.
Critically, smoke from the fires spreading across our state has made the air quality hazardous and prevented the distribution of student devices needed for learning this year. The smoke forced the cancelation of technology distribution days that were scheduled by districts.
Due to these factors, we will be postponing the start for students until Monday, September 21st. Thank you for your understanding and patience with us as we get this year started.
Chromebook pick up will be scheduled for Wednesday, September 16th between 10am-3pm. Please call Lane School 541-463-8500 when you arrive and a staff member will come out to your car with the technology.
We know many families are impacted by the fires, evacuations, and smoke. Safety is our priority. If this date does not work for your family, please reach out to schedule a different time.
